• biochemistry of free radicals;

• hepatotoxicology; 

• the role of nitric oxide in the pathology of the cardiovascular system; 

• endothelial dysfunction mechanisms of obesity, hypertension and atherosclerosis; 

• nanotoxicology, the use of nanomaterials in medicine and pharmacy; 

• borreliosis epidemiology; 

• epidemiology, pathogenesis, and treatment of borreliosis.

Authored and co-authored more than 520 scientific papers, 4 textbooks, 16 educational and methodical manuals, 15 monographs, 40 patents.
